SUMMER CAMP USA
As a Camp Counsellor, your main role is keeping campers safe and happy. You’ll also be their leader, role model, buddy, teacher, and even their hero when needed! Spend your summer living it up in the USA, blending in like a local in no time. Enjoy your time off exploring the nearby towns, and cities, and soaking up the local scene!
The Summer Camp Experience
The Summer Camp experience duration is 63 days. Hopscotch Travel ensures you’re placed with a safe camp, allowing you to fully engage in the experience. Camps offer accommodation (a shared room) and meals during your entire stay.
All camps aim to have energetic counselors. To help match you with the right camp, indicate your preferred camp type on your application. Being flexible increases your chances of placement. Camp Counselors are placed at scenic camps across the USA. We work with over 700 camps in various states. You can:
• Search all camps by name, state, or type and reach out for interviews.
• Have camps view your application and contact you for interviews.
• Attend Virtual Camp Job Fairs and potentially get hired on the spot.
Our camps have high standards and are approved by the American Camp Association. Here’s a brief overview of the types of camps looking for staff:
CAMPS
• Private Camps: Privately owned and run by individuals or families.
• Non-Profit Camps: Owned and run by non-profit organizations.
• Specialty Camps: Dedicated to one specific activity or specialty.
• Special Needs Camps: Dedicated to children and adults with disabilities.
• Religious Camps: With a religious emphasis, primarily Christian and Jewish camps.
• Single-Gender Camps: One gender, boys or girls.

• Water sports (Fishing, surfing, swimming and water polo)
• Sports (Cricket, rugby, Tenis, Golf and hockey)
• Extreme sports (Motorbikes, skateboarding and kayaking)
• Fitness (Yoga, martial arts and fitness instructor)
• Horse riding (Animal care, stable management, and trail riding)
• Outdoor (Camping, climbing and hiking)
• Music ( Drums, guitar, singing, and piano)
• Performing arts (Dance, drama, and theater)
• Creative Arts roles (Dance and Drama)
• Arts and Crafts (Painting, pottery and woodwork)
• Circus (Juggling, firesticks, and trapeze)
• Digital Media (Photographer, social media, and web design)
• Special skills (Chess, languages, and Master Chef)
• Education (Teacher, childcare, and personal trainer)
• Cabin staff (General camp counsellor)
