As an Au Pair, you’ll spend 12 months with a welcoming Dutch family, caring for children while experiencing life in one of Europe’s most charming and vibrant countries.
Cycle through historic streets, snack on stroopwafels, bitterballen, and world‑famous cheese, or picnic by Amsterdam’s picturesque canals. Visit museums filled with art and history, enjoy the world’s largest flower parade in Zundert, and soak up the beauty of traditional markets.
You’ll return home with unforgettable memories, cultural insight, and lifelong friendships. Being an Au Pair in the Netherlands is the perfect way to combine work, travel, and cultural exchange into one unforgettable year.
The Au Pair Experience
The Au Pair experience duration is 12 months. Hopscotch ensures you’re placed with a safe host family, enabling you to immerse yourself authentically in Dutch living. Host families offer accommodation (a private room within their home) and meals during your entire stay.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work roughly 30 hours per week
• Transport the children to and from school and arrange playdates
• Prepare meals
• Assist with homework
• Assist with general child-related chores, such as laundry, tidying the children’s bedrooms and play area
OUR FEES
SIGN UP FEE (non refundable): R 650
ROUND TRIP AIRFARE CONTRIBUTION: R 12,000
INCLUDED IN OUR FEES
EXTERNAL COSTS
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS (Background check, unabridged birth certificate and non-marital certificate): R 2,000
MEDICAL TESTS (TB, Pregnancy, Hepatitis A&B and HIV): R 1,000

If you qualify our experience coordinator will contact, you for an online interview. If your interview is successful, you will be accepted to the experience of your choice
